About Pump Cottage (sleeps 10)

For those of us lucky enough to have stumbled across Gwithian during our Cornish travels, we know that it’s a very special place indeed...and for those yet to discover its beauty; a truly magical experience awaits! Wild and unspoilt, Gwithian’s soft sandy stretch and wave-lined blue waters invite visitors to soak up a truly breath-taking beach holiday atmosphere while the nearby village with its charming atmosphere and countryside setting, is just the place to escape life’s busy agendas.

The main cottage is set over two floors and includes a spacious family bathroom along with four upstairs bedrooms, while downstairs there’s a light-filled and stylish living room with a log burner to keep the room cosy during cooler weather. The fifth bedroom or ‘Crab Shack’ is in the garden and has its own entrance, shower and coffee/tea-making facilities.

The home’s farmhouse-style kitchen features a cast iron cooking stove as well as a large dining table with views and access out to the gorgeous garden. Here you'll find plenty of lawn, a paved terrace, furniture and a BBQ which creates a lovely place for fresh air dining and relaxation in the sun. Guests who need to stay in touch with their businesses while on holiday will have the use of a purpose-built ground floor office space to work from.

Home to two surf schools that offer lessons and equipment hire, Gwithian is ideal for those wanting to either try out the sport or hone their skills. Low tide exposes an array of rock and sand pools which are perfect for little ones to explore, and miles of golden sand means grown-ups and children can run free or paddle in the shallows. Off the sand and up on the Towans, visitors can picnic or barbecue to their hearts’ content while taking in the superb views across Godrevy headland and lighthouse.
